5.1 Service Providers

Google Analytics data collection may be associated with your Google account if you are logged in while browsing. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On or by adjusting your Google Ads settings at adssettings.google.com.

Meta Platforms (Facebook) uses cookies, tracking pixels, and similar technologies to deliver relevant advertisements and measure campaign performance. You can adjust your ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.

Cloudflare processes limited visitor data as a data processor. For more information, see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

5.2 Analytics Providers

We use Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) Ads Pixel for website traffic analysis and advertising performance measurement, as described in the Service Providers table above. These services may associate browsing data with your account if you are logged into those platforms.

You can control the collection of data by these providers:

Facebook Ad Preferences: Adjust at facebook.com/adpreferences.

5.3 Affiliate Partners

The Site participates in affiliate programs with certain service providers. Affiliate links are disclosed at the point of the link. Affiliate partners may set cookies to track referrals. We do not share personally identifiable information with affiliate partners beyond referral tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law:

Membership account data: Retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, data is removed within thirty (30) days.

Newsletter subscription data: Retained until you unsubscribe.

Server logs: Retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes.

Cookie data: Retained as described in our Cookie Policy.

7.1 Rights for All Users

Right to Lodge a Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Lawful Basis for Processing: We process personal data on the following lawful bases: consent (for marketing communications), performance of a contract (for membership accounts), legitimate interest (for Site operation and improvement), and legal obligation (for compliance).

7.3 Rights for California Residents

Although the Site does not currently meet the statutory thresholds for the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), we voluntarily provide the following disclosures:

Categories of Personal Information Collected: Identifiers (name, email address, IP address); Internet or electronic network activity information (browsing history, interactions with the Site).

Categories of Sources: Directly from you (registration, newsletter signup); automatically (cookies, server logs).

Business or Commercial Purposes for Collection: Providing services; improving the Site; marketing communications.

Categories of Third Parties with Whom We Share Personal Information: Service providers (MailerLite); analytics providers (if applicable); affiliate partners (via tracking cookies).

Sale and Sharing: We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through MailerLite pixels and affiliate tracking cookies. You may opt out of such sharing by managing cookies through our cookie consent tool.

Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the preceding 12 months.

Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information via our cookie consent tool or by broadcasting a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

California “Shine the Light” Law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83): California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without consent. To make such a request, contact us at the information in Section 12.

7.4 Consumer Health Data – Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370

The Site provides educational content related to peptide science, longevity, and health. To the extent that certain information collected through your use of the Site may constitute “consumer health data” under the Washington My Health My Data Act (MHMDA) or Nevada SB 370, the following supplemental disclosures apply:

Collection of Consumer Health Data: We do not actively collect health data. However, your browsing and reading activity on the Site – including articles, protocols, or monographs related to health, wellness, or longevity topics – may, when combined with identifying information, constitute consumer health data under the broad definitions of these statutes.

Purposes: We process such data only to provide the educational content you request and to improve the Site.

Consent: By using the Site and reading health-related content, you affirmatively consent to our processing of your reading activity data as described in this section.

Affirmative Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Upon withdrawal, we will cease processing your consumer health data and delete it within thirty (30) days.

No Sale of Consumer Health Data: We do not sell consumer health data as defined under MHMDA or SB 370.

7.5 Colorado and Other State Privacy Laws

If you are a resident of a state with a comprehensive privacy law (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Montana, Oregon, Delaware, New Jersey, or Texas), you may have additional rights including the right to access, delete, correct, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling activities. To exercise rights available under your state’s law, please contact us using the information in Section 12.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. The Site is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older.

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

We do not design our content, services, or advertising to attract children under 13.

Our registration process requires age confirmation that the registrant is 18 years of age or older.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information from our records.

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at the information provided in Section 12.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS), access controls, and regular security assessments.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your personal information.

10. International Data Transfers

The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

For transfers of personal data from the EEA or UK to the United States, we rely on:

Adequacy Decisions: When transferring to third parties that participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) (such as MailerLite).

Standard Contractual Clauses: For other transfers, we implement suitable safeguards as required by applicable law.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. The Site currently does not respond to DNT signals. However, we do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a mechanism to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where required by applicable law, including under California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Oregon law.

12. CAN-SPAM Compliance

In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003:

All commercial email messages sent by us include a clear and conspicuous unsubscribe mechanism.

You may opt out of receiving commercial emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email or by contacting us directly.

We honor opt-out requests within ten (10) business days.

Our physical mailing address is included in all commercial email messages (see Section 14).

“Aeterna Method” is the initiator and sender of all newsletter communications. Our emails accurately identify the sender and contain truthful subject lines and header information.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

Post the updated Privacy Policy on this page

Update the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy

Notify registered users via email or through a prominent notice on the Site

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
